Thanks Andy for a great workshop. It was very informative and has inspired me to get out there and practice what I learnt over the two days. Kristy Merlino 18/05/09 |

Is "in-depth introduction" an oxymoron? Well, in my opinion it best describes your course. As an amateur to the world of dSLR’s I found the experience entertaining, educational, even exciting, and with ever changing locations – good exercise to boot. Having the class size restricted to 10 there was always the opportunity for each to have one-on-one tutorial without distracting others with more knowledge. After this introduction I hope your obvious passion for photography is contagious. Tim Irwin 18/05/09 |

Andy, I would like to say that I was very happy with the course and that even if I only take in half of what you taught me it will be money well spent. Thanks for a very enjoyable and informative couple of days. Andy Boosey 18/05/09 |
| Andy, I got a lot of great information, tips and knowdelge out of the day course I can already seen improvements in my photos. I hope to come back and do the longer courses and get even better!!!

Andy your 1 Day workshop was great. You covered most basics in one day including metering. 'Panning' is also a great technique. Thanks heaps! Sachin Wakhare 05/05/09 |

Hi Andy. Thank you so much for a great workshop. I really enjoyed it! I have had my camera for a year now and I have tried to play around with it by using the instructions in the manual, but you taught me so much more in 3 hours! Thanks to you, I won’t be shooting on auto anymore! I particularly liked the balance of theory and practical. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get the best use out of their camera. Sherina Kuruvilla 05/05/09 |
|
The introductory workshop provided me with confidence to use the manual settings on my camera. It was done at a great pace, with theory then accompanied with practise. I would definitely recommend this course. Larissa 04/05/09 |

I found the amount of information was great for a 3hr workshop and the speed at which we moved from one topic to another was great too. Andy made it very easy to understand. His explainations were simple yet detailed. And the coffee & cake was pretty good too. Tania Payne, 04/05/09 |

Your ability to provide easy to understand explanations have helped me get one step closer to that "Perfect Shot" - Thank you. Sarah Anstiss 4/5/09 |

Course was fab and since I've been back from my hols everyone has been commenting on my great snaps. It is so nice to be off the auto setting after 3 years of owning my camera. Still have trouble with depth of field but I'm getting there... These are skills that we stay with me for ever. Many thanks Andy, I will definitely do another course next time I'm in Sydney Emma Barrett 01/05/09 |
|
Hi Andy, I very much enjoyed the workshop. The topics covered were exactly what I've been trying to get a grasp of since I bought my camera, having a some of your years of experience rub off on us newbies was worth the time and money. You'll hear from me again, I'm interested in your night photography workshop as well as the second part of the 1 day workshop. - Ronaldo. |
|
This one day workshop was exactly what I needed to ignite my interest in photography. I learnt more in one day from Andy than I have ever been able to learn by myself. A great workshop for beginners. Jodie Groeneveld 26/04/09 |
|
I highly recommend the 1 day course to anyone who is serious about real photography. It opens your eyes to the basics, reconciling camera features with photography concepts, providing you with a solid foundation that puts you on your way to becoming a "photographer" rather than someone who just takes pictures. Ronaldo Rivera 24/04/09 |

thoroughly enjoyed the class, learned so much and have been practicing ever since! Robin Hosking 22/04/09 |

Andy, I thought the workshop was great! I have recommended you to others and I would be interested in attending more workshops once I have a better grasp on what I have learned so far. Your teaching skills were excellent and I felt you attended to each person according to their level with respect and positive instruction/encouragement. Well done! Cheers Ann Ann Bennett 21/04/09 |

...Also, I just wanted to thankyou for your patience and knowledge from Saturday. I certainly learnt so much about how to use my camera to it’s full potential and can’t wait to master these. Sarah Knox 20/04/09 |
|
Andy, your introductory lesson was wonderful. Even though I had no idea of how to use the specific functions on my camera, your knowledge of different brands and then each technical function was refershing and I feel confident in taking my photography to the next level. Sarah Knox 20/04/09 |
|
Hi Andy, Your 1 day workshop was a great eye opener to how to use our camera and def will be a great advantage for our big overseas trip for 8 months. Really looking forward to the night photography class that we have just booked into as well! Aaron thinks he is a pro now just from your one dayer. thank you so much! it will be something we will never forget. Regards, Jess & Aaron 14/04/09 |

Andy, It was great to meet you and to learn the complex trickery of photography. I was particularly impressed with your patience and ability to put over the information in both a practical and theoretical sense. Hyph Read-Jones 14/4/09 |
|
Hi Andy
Many thanks for your patience and tutelage over the weekend. I will study the notes and really try to apply what I have learnt. I found your courses excellent and appreciate the simple way you put over the sometimes complex info. I have already mentioned your course to a friend and will continue to do so as and when I bump into anyone who wants to know more. Hyph Read-Jones 14/4/09 |
|
This course was great. I have had my camera for over a year and have never taken it off the auto setting. I now know enough about how the camera works to confidently leave it off auto. Thanks Andy. You explain things in an easy to understand language and are very patient. Looking forward to the next course I do with you. Felicity Martin-Porter 14/4/09 |
|
Andy, Thank you so much, had a great day. Can't wait to put what i learnt into practice! Vanessa Muellner 7/4/09 |
|
Andy, thanks for a very inspiring and enjoyable day. The one day workshop was perfect for me, a good balance of theory and practice to challenge me and teach me many of the basics required... It would be great if there was a second full day workshop that follows on from this first one - the next step after learning the basics. ...You're a very patient teacher. Thank you. Patty Vun 7/4/09 |
|
We had a great day and have really enjoyed putting all that you taght us into practice. We learnt a lot about how to use the camera but also a lot about photography in general and found the course very inspiring! Thanks for a great day!! Thanks again for all your help, Rita and Paul 5/4/09 |

| Hi Andy,
I thoroughly enjoyed the course on Saturday, it was great to be refreshed in my knowledge and also learn a stack of new things. Dave Standen 25/3/09 |
|
I found the course to be very valuable, and I learnt a lot in a day! The advice to go home and revise within the following few hourse was very good advice, and I think has helped to ensure that more of what we went through has 'stuck'. Thanks for a great day. Katrina Bradley 23/3/09 |
I always thought I would be able to play with the settings on a DLSR and figure it all out myself, how mistaken I was. By the end of the day I felt armed with knowledge, which was invaluable. I now feel more confident about how to set up a shot successfully. |
Andy - I found the day most worthwhile, informative and of great value. I haven’t put the camera down since the course. Defiantly a must for those who have read all they can and need that added experience that only comes from an experienced professional like you. Fantastic Day! Nigel Seager |
|
Andy, i thought it was a brilliant day. I got alot out of the workshop, even though i had never used an SLR camera or learnt any theory behind it before. I'll take the very useful information away and will practise. Every thing was well explained, a few small thing went over my head, but that's me needing to go back to basics and learn a little more myself. I'm very keen in doing one of your evening workshops too. Thanks for the great notes. Lauren Bourke 9/3/09 |
|
Hi Andy, I had a great time during the workshop, your style made the course really interesting. ...the course has truly inspired me to learn more and further improve my photography skills. Thank you! Regards, Gazel
Gazel Patricio 2/3/09 |
I enjoyed the course very much...I gained a HUGE understanding of those words that had stumped me for years...aperture, shutter speed, exposure, and ISO settings. I took your advice and spent a few hours reviewing what I'd learned and studying my (compact) camera manual. I was surprised at how many features and settings on my camera equal those of an SLR... only now, I understand them thanks to you! With all this new found knowledge I look forward to taking better photos. |
Andy, I have been playing with an SLR for about 25 years, firstly with the film type natuarally, and now with the digital beastie. In all of that time I didn't learn as much as I did with you in just one day. I thought the day was well constructed, informative, and interactive. Can't thank you enough. |
|
Absolutely fantastic course, Andy you're a top notch teacher and person. Had a great time - learned loads of useful things and would absolutely recommend to anyone starting up photography. Absolutely 100% happy...

I just wanted to let you know that I did the photo shoots I was preparing for and they were very successful. I got some great shots and also figured out how to use the RAW files. So thank you so much for your help, I learnt a lot in those 3 sessions and it was money well spent!
Regards Ameika Johnson |

I think the course was perfect. Andy has extensive knowledge of the subject and delivery is excellent with an ideal balance of theory and practical. For me it was money very well spent and that doesn't happen too often. Thanks Andy Keshav Dada |

Thank you Andy. From not knowing very much to understanding so much more about my camera. I started off not knowing what some buttons were even for and never even touched it ... until yesterday i know what everything is for now ... i will send over some pictures from my malaysia, borneo and singopore trip once i come back. thank you for everything…
Anh Truong |

I got a lot out of the workshop yesterday and finally can forget the auto mode on my camera! The class was exactly what i wanted. Clear instructions on the functions of my DSLR camera and a clear overview of things like ISO settings and aperture etc. I now feel much more confident with my camera and look forward to experimenting with every setting to get the best pictures possible. Thanks again. Scott Galloway |

Once again I’d like to say thanks for a wonderful lesson today. That was excellent and you made it so much easier to understand. I’d be interested in hearing about any other courses you’re going to be doing that are the next step up, I will probably try to book in for the night course as well some time soon. Thanks and keep it up, we need photographers like yourself. :) Cheers, Angus McLaren |

The course was excellent and was really what I was looking for. I feel that I now understand how to take advantage of the features of my digital camera but know that there is much more for me to learn. The review of composition also has put me back into the frame of mind to look for great shots now that the frustration of getting the camera to do what I wanted it to is gone. I would highly recommend your course for people like me who are (finally) making the film to digital SLR transition. Many thanks for a great weekend and for sharing your passion about photography. Best wishes, Joanna MacLean |
| Since I did the work shop I have taken my camera everywhere and even dragged myself out of bed at 5am a couple of times. Before Andy's workshop I fumbled my way around the camera and took shots hoping the exposure would work out. It was very valuable to have a professional like Andy who not only has the knowledge to share but seems to be a naturally good teacher and I found him very engaging. I was surprised to learn what his experience has taught him about how to get a person to behave naturally in front of the camera. Andy taught us how the camera sees a shot and now I understand how to achieve the image I have in mind. I finished the weekend being confident in using the different settings on my camera and now I'm really using the camera not just dabbling with it.
Thanks again, Lucy Moroney |

Andy, The 1-day workshop was extremely good value and I highly recommend this course to people wanting to learn basics about digital photography. One of my favourite parts was how to do 'panning'. Andrea Petznick |
Hi Andy Thanks very much for the course last Saturday (24 January), both Trent and I took a lot from the day. The course was exactly what we both needed to start to understand and begin to get the most (basic) from our cameras. We felt you delivered the information very articulately in a very simple and clear manner for the whole class. Mark Gascoine |
| Many thanks for last Saturday. I got a lot out of it and really enjoyed it despite the heat. Olivia also had a good time and now feels – in a true teenager way – that she now definitely knows everything!! Alex |
| Your workshop was great! I went home really feeling like I had made some progress with my photography. Shame it was so damn hot but never the less it was a good day. I will definitely be booking in with you for another class soon. Thanks again.

| Thanks very much for weaning me off 'Auto' mode and teaching me how to use my camera's features, Andy. I thought the course was excellent. You were very willing to answer all questions and you appeared to be extremely knowledgeable. I felt I learned all I had hoped to achieve from a photography course and I feel I can correct the majority of problems and poor results of photos I now take. I was pleased when you offered advice on angles and subjects, especially at Hyde Park fountain...Once again, thanks for your advice and I would definitely recommend the course to others. Kind regards,
Adam Martin |

| Hi Andy,
Just wanted to send a quick email to thank you for a great day out on your Day Photography Course. I had taken a similar course almost 2 years ago and had forgotten some of the content and was struggling with some of my photos. I now know what you mean when you say you know when you have taken a good photo. Attached is a photo I took of someone one the train on my way home. Even before taking the photo I knew what it would look like. Normally I don't like asking people if I could take a photo of them but I just had to. Thanks and I look forward to your other courses. Kind regards, Sussanah Teng 28/09/08 |
| My daughter Elena, and I would like to again thank you for your introductory digital photography class on Monday morning at the Quay. We found your instruction excellent. Colin Trees |

Thank you so so much, I am really enjoying my photography now that I have more knowledge- your classes were so good- I have even treated myself to a manfrotto tripod! |
