DPReview.com The most popular site for camera reviews started in 1998 and now gets thousands of hits every day. Based in England the editor Phil Askey is very well informed. Camera reviews are very detailed. It can however take a long time for reviews to appear. The site has belatedly started lens reviews.
Photozone The best website for lens reviews. Produced in Germany by Klaus Schroiff the site is in English. The great thing about the reviews is that they involve real world photography plus tests on the optical bench(the best of both worlds). Not just resolution but also distortion, vignetting and flare. A major undertaking. Keep up the great work Klaus.
Steve's Digicams Another excellent review site for cameras. Note that this is an American site so some of the model names are different to the ones used in Australia.

More Photography Sites
The Luminous Landscape Lots of useful information about all things photographic especially (as the name suggests) landscape photography. Graphically a bit jarring and "centered" text makes it uncomfortable to read long passages. But still a very useful site.
Popular Photography The on-line presence of the long running American photography magazine. The site has some detailed reviews and articles along with "teasers" for the current issue of the magazine.
Exif Data Mind-boggling amounts of detail of all your camera's settings. http://regex.info/exif.cgi |

Photographic Lighting Sydney If you are looking for Studio Lighting, Pro and semi pro lighting equipment, Tripods, and more I strongly recommend you contact Peter Munro at "Pro World". Some photographic equipment suppliers tend to be quite off hand with photographers that are starting out and looking to set up at reasonable cost. Fortunately (despite the business name) Pete has plenty of experience with all levels of photographers from "prosumers" all the way through to many of the big names in Sydney photography. |
