This 1 day workshop starts with the very basics and then takes you to a point where will be confident using your DSLR to its full potential. We meet at 9am. Beginning with Exposure Modes you will learn to freeze moving subjects with fast shutter speeds (and how to produce creative blur with slow speeds). I will show you how to throw distracting backgrounds out of focus (and how to keep interesting ones in focus). We will have coffee & cake at about 11pm at which time we will have a chat about what equipment you might want to buy. |
You will experiment with shutter speeds and we will do a little "panning". After a half hour break (consider bringing a packed lunch) we meet up again. I will show you why and when to change ISO settings, how to improve images with RAW files. Get better colour by choosing the right White Balance. Other topics covered include; tips for better portraits, understanding perspective, macro and more. Duration:6hrs Class Size: 10 Max
